2009 new Women's Fund board members
The Women’s Fund welcomed seven new members to its board. Amy Johnson was elected board chair, and Renee Messing is serving as treasurer. “Our new board members bring a wealth of skills and experience that complement our current board,” said Elaine Maly Women’s Fund executive director. “Donors and friends of the Women’s Fund can count on their leadership to continue expanding our effectiveness as a social change grantmaker.”
The Women’s Fund also thanked outgoing board members Cathy Jakicic, Mary Jo Dowell, Maria Rodriguez, Rebecca Ryan, and Denise Callaway for their service and commitment. The new board members are:
• Eloiza Altoro Acevedo, executive director for the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation, and an adjunct professor at Alverno College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
• Laura Bouslough, a financial Representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Laura was the first woman at Northwestern Mutual to be ranked in the Central Region Top 10 representatives.
• Jackie Boynton, an attorney specializing in nonprofit law. Jackie is involved in the local progressive donor’s collaborative and participated in the Women’s Fund Reproductive Justice Learning Circle.
• Trish Hansen, CPA, a director in Robert W. Baird's Investment Banking Practice. Prior to joining Baird, Trish provided business and tax advisory services at Arthur Andersen. Trish serves on the Women’s Fund Women & Public Policy committee.
• Connie Keller, CFA, a vice president at Harris Bank. Connie is a member of the Women’s Fund Investment Committee, and founder and co-owner of Grapes and Grain.
• Michelle Mason, CAE, managing director of the American Society for Quality, and owner of Concepts and Connections Marketing and Project Management.
• Michelle Sieg, creative director at Zizzo Group Advertising and Public Relations, and Chair of the Women’s Fund Communications Committee.
