Lesbian Fund Reception Celebrates Matching Grant

The Lesbian Fund hosted a celebratory and informational event on May 21 at the home of its supporters Peter Holbrook and Tom Hoffman.  Established by the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee, The Lesbian Fund encourages giving that will increase the visibility of lesbians as strong community leaders, inform and advocate for lesbian concerns, and support vital lesbian initiatives.

The approximately thirty attendees learned how they can double their gifts to the Lesbian Fund through a matching grant program. The Women’s Fund secured a $125,000 matching grant from the Cultures of Giving Fund, established at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors with major support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. New or increased gifts made to the Lesbian Fund through September 2009 are eligible for a match.
